The objective of this course is to help students gain the skills needed to properly use carving tools and complete a wood spirit carving. Students will learn about the various tools used in wood carving and how to use them correctly, as well as all necessary safety measures. Upon completion, students will be able to use what they've learned to carve a human face.

This class builds on the fundamentals taught in the Beginning Carving class and focuses on pushing those skills to add additional elements of reality and fantasy.

The Intermediate Carving course is two 8-hour days (but may be extended). Please see the main schedule for current tuition rates.

Everything learned in the previous two classes leads into the Extreme Caricature Carving course. Students will have fun and push their limits to transition reality into full fantasy. This class is challenging, but it leads to very great rewards!
